Senior IBM Netcool/Omnibus Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

• Design, implement, and maintain Netcool/Omnibus infrastructure.
• Configure ObjectServer, triggers, and automation processes.
• Develop event correlation rules and enrichment policies.
• Monitor and optimize platform performance.
• Manage probe configurations for integration with monitoring tools.
• Administer Linux systems supporting Netcool components.
• Support Oracle database tasks including queries and performance monitoring.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Execute system upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the platform.
• Develop integrations using APIs, scripting, and middleware technologies.
• Automate workflows for event and incident management.
• Collaborate with teams to onboard new monitoring sources.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Participate in change management and governance processes.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Netcool/Omnibus (ObjectServer, Probes, Gateways).
• Solid understanding of Netcool architecture including OMNIbus, Impact, WebGUI/Dash, and Message Bus.
• Experience with Linux system administration (RHEL).
• Working knowledge of Oracle database administration and SQL.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Strong knowledge of event correlation and alert management strategies.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and event management best practices.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with IBM Netcool/Omnibus.
• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience., * Experience integrating with Dynatrace and ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with tools such as Client and Control-M.
• Knowledge of webhook architectures and REST APIs.
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps.
• ITIL certification preferred.
