SharePoint On-Prem Migration Consultant

We are supporting a client with an on-premise SharePoint migration that has been partially completed by their incumbent MSP. Due to licensing and configuration issues, the client requires an experienced SharePoint on-prem specialist to review the current state of the environment and advise on the best path forward.

The initial engagement will involve logging into the servers, assessing what has been completed, and providing a clear recommendation and estimate to either complete the existing migration or restart it cleanly.

• Proven hands-on experience with SharePoint On-Premise, specifically SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition
• Demonstrable experience delivering, remediating, or rescuing partially completed or failed SharePoint migrations
• Strong understanding of SharePoint farm architecture, including multi-farm environments and site collection limits
• Experience reviewing and advising on storage utilisation and capacity planning within on-prem SharePoint environments
• Solid SQL Server experience, including edition changes and licensing considerations (Enterprise to Standard)
• Experience managing or supporting server configuration changes, including IP address changes and DNS coordination
• Comfortable conducting initial technical assessments and producing clear, costed recommendations for next steps
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willing and able to carry out work outside of core business hours (post 17:30)
