Job description

This role supports the Articulated Trucks group as part of Hauling Applications. The main function of an embedded software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of embedded software and systems. The engineer will research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications, including medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing., * Design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment for product lines.

  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to the management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
  • Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish the project.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in C++ with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience in Off Highway applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Robotics experience is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with ROS is nice to have.

This is a Contract position based out of Peoria, IL. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.00/hr.
