The Raytheon team is seeking a Principal Systems Security Engineer-Cyber Product Owner (P4) for an agile Cyber Security team to support the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) department. The successful candidate will have a security conscious approach to take into consideration the systems level effect to resolving complex programs and the ability to convince leadership that the proposed solution is best for the mission (including program cost, schedule, and technical). The individual will work with the program and customer in the development of the system, providing strategic input and planning for the system, architecture, and design in a dynamic, agile development environment. The Product Owner is the Agile team member primarily responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the Agile team by ensuring that the team backlog is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs. You will be working as part of a team to define various cyber security capabilities and ensure the team is completing their scope to meet the customer's needs. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Woburn, MA.
What You Will Do
- Work with the Sub-CPT lead, Sub-IPT Lead, Scaled Product Owner (SPO), Release Train Engineer (RTE), Scrum Master (SM), and Control Account Manager (CAM) to define scope and acceptance criteria as well as weekly Earned Value Management reporting and monthly workforce planning
- Monitor agile team performance metrics, prioritize and decompose backlog, participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Reviews and Program Increment (PI) Planning
- Interact with Stakeholders to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
- Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
- Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems, navigating disparate program architectures and configurations
- Define security development and test efforts, implement security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components
- Partner development with cybersecurity sustainment activities
- Understand and comply with DoD technology release and export licensing policies
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience working in an Agile environment and/or on Agile development projects
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with project management tools; i.e. Jira
- Knowledge of ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), VMware EXSi, Endpoint Security Services (ESS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) / Tenable Security Center
- Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Experience in managing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Experience in the implementation and business growth of SSE implementation throughout the entire life cycle
- Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
- Experience supporting the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents and controls validation testing for Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditations
- Experience with backlog readiness for planning and execution
- Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, suppliers, stakeholders, and customers in a team environment
- Hands on experience configuring and implementing cybersecurity tools
- Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
