Job description
We are seeking a Container Subject Matter Expert to drive innovation and support modernization projects. This role will focus on the design aspect of new initiatives, emphasizing platform automation, GitOps principles, and observability. The ideal candidate will be an open-minded engineer who is passionate about automation and minimizing manual intervention., * Contribute to the design and engineering of container platform solutions, primarily focusing on project work related to modernization and automation.
- Implement and manage solutions using GitOps principles, ensuring that cluster configurations are standardized and automated.
- Utilize tools such as ArgoCD for continuous delivery and Ansible for platform automation.
- Develop and maintain observability capabilities using tools like Grafana.
- Engage in platform automation, coding, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Support projects involving OpenShift upgrades, chaos engineering, and the integration of messaging queues.
- Work on AI components for predictive analysis and event-driven auto-remediation.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes is mandatory.
- Proven expertise in GitOps principles and tools, with a focus on automation.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash for container environments.
- Knowledge of platform automation tools like Ansible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ArgoCD.
- Knowledge of AI workloads or concepts related to predictive analysis in an infrastructure context.
Benefits & conditions
The anticipated pay range for this position is $80.00/hour to $85.00/hour. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for conversion to a permanent role. The permanent salary range is estimated to be between $150,000 and $160,000 annually, with a potential 20% bonus.
