Software Engineer

In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional development team to deliver reliable, high-quality software that supports critical public services. The position emphasizes teamwork, thoughtful problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a collaborative environment., * Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain web-based software applications.
• Participate as a member of an agile or Scrum development team.
• Develop functional, maintainable, and testable code for web applications.
• Contribute to refining and clarifying technical and functional requirements.
• Perform application testing, including the creation and maintenance of unit tests.
• Provide technical support to customer support staff by assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Perform software maintenance, enhancements, and code revisions.
• Prepare and deliver software releases by:

• Creating and maintaining release artifacts
• Managing software revisions and versioning
• Supporting automated deployment processes

o Experience or training in functional programming languages such as Scala, Haskell, PureScript, F#, Erlang, Scheme, OCaml, Clojure, or similar o Experience using Linux as a development platform o Experience developing web applications using technologies such as PureScript, Scala, and PostgreSQL

The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
