Job description
As an Engineer 2, you will leverage your technical expertise to solve business problems and contribute to complex initiatives. This role requires a strong ability to apply professional concepts, serve as a subject matter expert within your area of focus, and represent your team on advanced assignments.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of technology solutions through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation, and provide recommendations to improve quality, scalability, and overall effectiveness. Success in this role requires the ability to listen to customer needs and deliver high-quality solutions that align with functional and non-functional requirements.
In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment focused on building and supporting cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and CI/CD automation methodologies to support scalable and secure systems. You will also identify and implement improvements that enhance delivery efficiency while meeting requirements related to security, compliance, performance, and cost optimization.

Required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
- Strong commitment to incorporating security into daily work and technical decision-making
- 3+ years of related professional experience
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, and Jenkins
- Proven experience with scripting languages including Groovy, Bash (Linux Shell), and Python
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and HCL
- Experience building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure in Amazon Web Services, with strong knowledge of services such as EC2, EBS, CloudFront, S3, Route53, and others
- Experience managing end-to-end application platforms, including:
- Java-based backend services (Apache Tomcat, Spring Boot)
- Frontend applications built with Node.js and TypeScript
- Build processes, dependency management, and runtime support
- Strong communication skills with the ability to triage issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- AWS cloud certifications
- Experience with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager
- Strong automation mindset with a focus on creating repeatable and efficient processes
- Knowledge of open-source automation tools such as Chef or Ansible
- General understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, firewalls, routing, Web Application Firewalls (e.g., Imperva), and certificate management
