Job description
- Define and govern an end-to-end testing strategy aligned to reference data usage and risk.
- Establish QA standards, coverage expectations, and quality metrics; identify gaps and drive maturity.
- Embed quality early in the lifecycle through shift-left practices.
- Design, build, and maintain automated regression suites; integrate with CI/CD and select automation versus manual based on risk.
- Validate reference data accuracy, completeness, and consistency; assess downstream impacts.
- Design and execute tests for data transformations, mappings, APIs, services, batch processes, and feeds.
- Perform source-to-target validation and ensure referential integrity across systems.
- Partner with Product Owners and Engineers to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria; support Agile ceremonies.
- Provide quality status, risk assessments, and go/no-go recommendations for releases.
- Support audit, compliance, and governance needs with documented evidence; reduce incidents via preventive QA.
- Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis.
Requirements
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automated testing, data and integration testing, and Agile delivery and a proven ability to own QA strategy for complex, business-critical reference data platforms and deliver release confidence through risk-based testing., * 7+ years in Quality Assurance or Software Testing with ownership of QA for complex, business-critical systems.
- Proven implementation of automated testing for enterprise platforms, including UI and API layers.
- Hands-on API testing and automation; experience with system integrations and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools; strong experience with JIRA.
- Experience testing data-centric systems or reference/master data platforms.
- 2-3 years in banking or financial services; experience with globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate risk in business terms.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in regulated industries or audited environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and architectures.
- Exposure to performance or reliability testing.
- Knowledge of data governance or data management frameworks.
