The Senior Facilities Building Engineer - Critical Infrastructure is responsible for the performance, reliability, and scalability of all facility systems supporting advanced manufacturing operations. This role goes beyond traditional maintenance, focusing on engineering ownership of infrastructure, including utilities, process support systems, and facility upgrades. This individual will oversee and improve critical systems such as HVAC, process chillers, inert gas distribution, compressed air, and power infrastructure ensuring they meet the demands of high-performance additive manufacturing. We are seeking a hands-on engineer who can operate both strategically and tactically driving system reliability, leading projects, and supporting day-to-day operations., Facility Systems Engineering & Reliability
- Own integration, performance, and continuous improvement of facility systems
- Ensure high uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure
- Analyze system performance to identify risks and inefficiencies
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Infrastructure & Utilities Management
- Oversee HVAC, process chillers, argon distribution, compressed air, and electrical systems
- Develop scaling plans to support production growth
- Ensure system redundancy, safety factors, and operational robustness
Project Management & Capital Improvements
- Lead capital projects including installations, upgrades, and expansions
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Maintenance Strategy & Execution
- Develop and optimize preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Build and manage CMMS infrastructure for tracking and reporting
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair support as needed
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local/state regulations, ISO14001, and AS9100
- Partner with EH&S to maintain a safe work environment
- Identify and mitigate operational and safety risks
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Support and develop vendors and in-house facilities technicians
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams
- Serve as the primary technical resource for facility systems
Emergency Response & On-Call Support
- Support emergency response and incident investigations
- Provide on-call support for critical facility systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in facilities engineering or advanced manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- HVAC and environmental control systems
- Process chillers and cooling systems
- Inert gas distribution
- Compressed air systems
- Industrial electrical and power systems
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with CMMS platforms
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
- Must be a U.S., * Experience in aerospace, defense, or additive manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 / ISO14001 standards
- Experience scaling facilities or supporting new site launches
- Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or reliability engineering

- Full-time exempt role with flexibility for off-hours support
