The Senior Principal Systems Engineer - SE CPTL is a management and technical leadership role responsible for development, integration, and test execution of the sensor, aperture, communications, electronics and electrical subsystems in addition to systems engineering of the missile. The Coyote Block 2C-RM development effort is a rapid development effort to insert technological upgrades within existing systems to fill customer capability gaps.
What You Will Do:
- You will communicate to the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer(s), to provide team status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed.
- You will manage the development of system and subsystem requirements for complex systems by collaborating with several IPTLs and SMEs to obtain necessary design information.
- Provide SE technical expertise in development, integration, troubleshooting and failure investigations
- Lead technical discussions, and formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
- Be a Control Account Manager (CAM) for multiple cost accounts
Requirements
- Typically requires Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience performing requirements definition, decomposition, and changes
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. are eligible for a security clearance, * MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics
- Ability to work independently and work with SMEs, CEs, LSEs, and other program stakeholders to make informed technical design decisions.
- Foundational understanding of electrical, electronics, and radio frequency systems
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
- Experience with requirements management and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools (i.e. Cameo)
- Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities; working on rapid development programs or fast-paced environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
