Job description

Woolpert is hiring an Application Developer to join our dynamic Department of the Air Force (DAF) team. This is an on-site role with a schedule of 4 days working at the Chief Data Office (CDO) on Langley Air Force Base and 1 day working remotely. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using Power Platform, Envision, and other tools for the rapidly growing DAF CDO program. Roles of the CDO Application Developer include designing, testing, deploying, and customizing Power Platform applications and Envision analytic tools in an enterprise environment. Developer will work on a team implementing enterprise capabilities, coordinating with program analysts and stakeholders to support capabilities, requirements, process integration, and user training in support of Chief Data Office program objectives., * Develop and maintain applications using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages)

  • Integrate Palantir Envision analytic results into CDO processes and products
  • Develop and customize applications and workflows according to CDO requirements, enhancing user experience and functionality
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scopes
  • Operate within an Agile framework using Jira/Confluence to enable client task visibility and project transparency
  • Design user-friendly interfaces and ensure application performance and quality
  • Integrate data across applications and conduct code, automation, and dashboard reviews with teammates
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for improved efficiency
  • Manage access rights and controls, providing user support as needed
  • Design and administer integrations with other systems and data
  • Integrate multiple data sources for analyses and reports using cloud and on-premises data gateways
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and generate visually appealing and insightful reports., * Freedom to Work program: Set your own schedule and location (as appropriate).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science or degree with an analytical or statistical background

  • Active Tier 1 Investigation (National Agency Check and Inquiries NACI), or security clearance, or the ability to pass a Tier 1 Investigation.

  • Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening

Two (2) to three (3) years ofexperience developing applications using Power Platform tools

Proficiency with Power BI Service Administration and experience designing Business Intelligence dashboards

  • Ability to interpret relationships in data across multiple sources
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the drive to find solutions:
  • Must provide project examples demonstrating impactful applications, dashboards, or automations and the problems they solved
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills:
  • Comfortable discussing and presenting projects you have built or led to stakeholders and clients

The following experience is favored:

  • Experience with military or defense-related projects
  • Certifications in Power Platform tools or related technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Palantir software, specifically their Envison platform and tools
  • Proficiency with Power Query, M, Python, R, and PowerShell
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, Azure Blob storage, and Advana-related tools
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum processes and tools, preferably using Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) software

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Range $101,200 - $126,500 USD
