Mainframe Analyst & Developer (COBOL)

• Conduct impact analysis for development and implementation of application systems.Translate business requirements specifications into programming instructions.
• Analyze, develop, review, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale systems.
• Provide support for existing applications and recommendations for enhancements.
• Identify problems, determine the root cause, and deliver solutions.
• Apply sound judgment in prioritizing/time allocation.
• Participate in technical projects (COBOL, JAVA, SQL,…)
• Be part of a Mainsys team working in closed collaboration

We coach our banking IT consultants in the context of the projects and aiming at developing the required skills, both in IT and around the banking applications and business.

• You are an Engineer (must have)
• You have interest in IT projects.
• You are proficient in French and can communicate in English.
• Knowledge of JAVA and SQL is mandatory
• Knowledge or at least interest in using/learning COBOL is mandatory
• Knowledge of other programming languages is an asset
• You have between 0 to 5 years' experience in a similar function
