What is The Role We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Platform Analytics team. In this role, you'll help build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that support business, product, and technical use cases across Elastic. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, high-quality data in a fast-moving, distributed environment. What You Will Be Doing Build, enhance, and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines Develop and optimize analytics datasets using BigQuery and dbt Support and maintain existing data systems as needed to ensure continuity and data reliability Design scalable data models that enable trusted analytics and reporting Partner with product managers, analysts, and solution teams to translate ambiguous requirements into effective data solutions Monitor data quality and system health to ensure accurate, timely insights What You Bring, Whether you're looking to launch a new career or grow an existing one, Elastic is the type of company where you can balance great work with great life. Requirements

Strong experience with SQL and Python 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience designing and operating production data pipelines at scale Good knowledge of architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scalability, quality) of complex systems Familiarity with BigQuery and modern ELT tools (e.g., dbt) Experience with AI tools and workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Bonus Points Experience with Buildkite and Terraform Experience with Dataflow on GCP Experience with Elasticsearch Experience with Kubernetes
