Job description
- Develop, deploy, and maintain robust backend software solutions using Python within a complex healthcare environment.
- Implement and manage DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design software that meets user needs and accessibility standards.
- Write clean, secure, and testable code, ensuring software interoperability and system integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to maintain high engineering standards.
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications and prototypes.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Python.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and containerization tools.
- Strong practical knowledge of Terraform and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience working within the Healthcare sector or Government (DDaT) environments is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Agile environments and the ability to work in a fast-paced delivery team.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and database management.
- Ability to commit to the required travel schedule (twice weekly attendance in the Leeds office, regardless of home base).
