Software Developer

• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust backend software solutions using Python within a complex healthcare environment.
• Implement and manage DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design software that meets user needs and accessibility standards.
• Write clean, secure, and testable code, ensuring software interoperability and system integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to maintain high engineering standards.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and prototypes.

• Extensive experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Python.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and containerization tools.
• Strong practical knowledge of Terraform and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working within the Healthcare sector or Government (DDaT) environments is highly desirable.
• Understanding of Agile environments and the ability to work in a fast-paced delivery team.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and database management.
• Ability to commit to the required travel schedule (twice weekly attendance in the Leeds office, regardless of home base).
