Role Title: Data Engineer

Location: Remote (Telford 2 x monthly - Worthing also a possibility)

Contract Tenure: 6 Months

Start Date: 01 June 26

We are seeking Data Engineers to support delivery within a large-scale data exploitation programme. The role will focus on developing and maintaining ETL pipelines within an established Talend framework, alongside working with Oracle RDS databases and CI/CD pipelines. Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop ETL solutions using Talend
• Build and maintain Oracle SQL and DDL artefacts
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements (GitLab)
• Investigate and resolve defects across development and testing phases
• Conduct component testing, including test data creation
• Support QA, performance testing, and production releases
• Perform peer reviews of development and test artefacts
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Contribute to agile ceremonies and cross-team coordination

Skills and experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Talend (essential)
• Experience with Oracle databases (preferably RDS)
• Solid SQL and data modelling capability
• Experience working within structured SDLC and testing frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (eg GitLab)
• Experience in enterprise or public sector environments desirable
• SC Eligible
