Job description

Zillow, Inc. seeks Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in Seattle, WA., Job Duties: Design, build, and optimize complex SQL-based data transformations and analytical datasets. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data models to support scalable analytics and reporting workflows. Build, enhance, and maintain high-quality Tableau dashboards used by executives and other business leaders. Collaborate with data engineering to translate business requirements into technical specifications for data warehouse tables, data pipelines, and analytical models. Leverage strong business insight and communication skills to work cross-functionally and prioritize work. Identify automation opportunities, improve data quality, and implement scalable solutions to enhance the effectiveness of analytics and reporting across the organization. Telecommuting Permitted.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in computer science, mathematics, business analytics, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in the field of data visualization, analytics engineering, or related occupation.

Special Skills:

(1) SQL (advanced joins, window functions, performance tuning)

(2) ETL pipeline design & implementation (workflow orchestration and dependency management)

(3) Data modeling (star schema, normalization, analytical modeling)

(4) Tableau (advanced calculations, LODs, dashboard performance optimization and UX best practices)

(5) Python for data analysis, automation, and data processing

(6) Apache Spark using Spark DataFrame APIs

(7) Databricks (workflow execution, notebook-based ETL develpment)

(8) Cloud data warehouse fundamentals (Redshift / Snowflake)

(9) Git-based version control & collaborative development

(10) A/B testing methodologies & statistical analysis

Salary: $129,709 - $189,400 per year.
