Job description

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions., Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer 1 to support the development and deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions within a mission-driven environment. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications supporting large-scale compute and data analytics platforms.

This role involves working within an Agile development team to implement secure and reliable software capabilities across cloud infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated developer with strong attention to detail who can work independently and collaboratively to meet evolving customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and 0 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field; OR
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, or related technical field in lieu of a degree
  • Qualifying experience must include requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, or problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar technical disciplines will be considered
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience working within Linux-based operating systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible

Benefits & conditions

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
