Job description

Advanced Energy is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with a strong background in operating precision, calibrated measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Octave and Python, and be capable of independently writing programming scripts for automated testing. The position performs a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks early in the Product Development Process to provide timely, flexible, universal tools and processes. The Test Engineer makes knowledgeable, data-driven decisions and employs innovative technologies with optimal control and maximum speed and flexibility., + Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product's lifecycle

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing test environment

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence design team decisions

  • Demonstrated experience solving complex technical problems with minimal assistance

  • Ability to manage multiple projects

  • Expertise in programming automation and data collection

  • Programming experience in Octave and Python

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-5 years of work experience in a related field depening on Education

  • Experience using calibrated test equipment

  • Experience working on agile/scrum teams is a plus

  • Familiarity with Jira is a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or relevant engineering discipline

  • Master's or PhD preferred

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 per year., As part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
