Job description
- Design and implement enterprise infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Lead modernization initiatives across servers, virtualization, networking, storage, and cloud platforms.
- Architect and maintain high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Establish and enforce technical standards, governance, and documentation practices.
- Lead deployment and integration of enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, and other line-of-business applications.
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient application architectures.
- Support identity and access management, system integration, and interoperability across platforms.
- Provide Tier 3 / escalation-level support across infrastructure, applications, and security domains.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to leadership and stakeholders on architecture, security, and technology strategy.
- Implement and optimize cybersecurity solutions including firewalls, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, vulnerability management, and data protection.
- Conduct security assessments, incident response, and remediation planning.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers while helping scale technical operations and best practices.
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmap, strategic planning, and service development initiatives.
- Define cybersecurity offerings, delivery methodologies, and technical standards for consulting services.
- Participate in client discovery, solution design, and proposal development.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced IT Director with a strong background in enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application architecture to support the delivery of complex technology initiatives and the development of a new consulting practice. The successful candidate will operate as a hands-on technical leader, working across infrastructure, security, and business systems while partnering with leadership and clients to design and implement scalable, secure solutions., * 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with a focus on enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, or architecture.
- Proven experience leading complex technical projects end-to-end across infrastructure and application environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in network security, cloud platforms, identity and access management, and enterprise systems.
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable architectures across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Ability to operate independently in high-responsibility, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environments.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with tools and platforms related to infrastructure management, security monitoring, and system integration.
Preferred
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
- Experience contributing to or building consulting practices, service offerings, or technical go-to-market strategies.
- Background in financial services, asset management, or family office environments., * Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
