Job description
As a Specialty Software Engineer focused on mobile platforms, you will consult on complex, large-scale initiatives that have broad organizational impact. You will help design, architect, and deliver high-quality mobile solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires strong technical depth, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in long-term and multifaceted engineering challenges. Responsibilities
- Consult on complex, high-impact mobile engineering initiatives involving large-scale planning and delivery.
- Design, architect, and develop native iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges that span multiple systems, timelines, or constraints, including unprecedented or intangible factors.
- Contribute to solutions that align with organizational goals, engineering best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Apply a strong understanding of software engineering standards, policies, and procedures to meet agreed-upon deliverables.
- Partner and collaborate strategically with client stakeholders, product teams, and engineering peers.
- Advocate for accessibility best practices, including compliance with WCAG standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of specialty software engineering experience, or equivalent practical experience demonstrated through a combination of work, consulting, training, education, or military experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing native mobile applications.
- 5+ years of Android development experience.
- 5+ years of iOS development experience.
- 3+ years of mobile solutions engineering experience.
- 1+ year of experience applying Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and/or 2.1.
Preferred Qualifications
- iOS development experience using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Android development experience using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and modern UI frameworks.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional environments.
