Job description

The position will be based in Princeton, N.J. (2-3 days per week in the office required) with occasional travel to CHDI's other offices in LA and NY and team meetings (in US and EU as needed). Job Reports To Director of Clinical Operations Salary Range $80,000-$130,000. Exact compensation will vary based on experience. Other Vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite for employment at CHDI Management., CHDI oversees a large portfolio of projects aimed at understanding the natural progression of Huntington's disease, developing biomarkers and endpoints for use in clinical trials, and working with external partners to develop and execute clinical development plans for novel therapeutics. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with an interest and background in clinical data program management and system administration to assist CHDI in supporting clinical development activities. This highly detail-oriented individual will work closely with various groups within CHDI (and extended partners), external software developers, hosting providers, CROs, and others to support the development of electronic data capture (EDC) systems, create and review specifications and end user documentation, and manage access to numerous key applications. As needed this individual will help design databases, prepare datasets, conduct user acceptance testing, perform data extraction, write reports, and closely manage hosting and software development vendors. They will be driven, proactive, and self-motivated, as well as a great team player with excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the System Administrator will work with various stakeholders to develop and follow standard operating procedures for access administration that follow external regulations (e.g. GDPR and ICFs) and is comfortable managing projects as well as working in a hands-on environment. The position offers involvement in a novel model of non-profit orphan disease drug discovery development and an entrepreneurial work environment with high impact., * Work with CHDI legal, operations, information technology, and data management teams, to develop and closely follow processes to provide and manage access administration for key applications and systems.

  • Provide technical administration and operational support for systems, including account provisioning, configuration management, UAT testing, issue resolution, and documentation of system processes and procedures.

  • Work closely with third-party application providers to support content implementation, account administration, and UAT activities across systems

  • Take ownership of managing hosting and software development vendors, closely tracking and taking accountability for all vendor activities.

  • Write scripts to extract and configure data from datasets quickly and efficiently, as needed.

  • Create, revise, and review documentation, specifications, data dictionaries, variable naming, user manuals, etc. for applications including EDC systems, clinical operations applications, and custom applications.

  • Perform user acceptance testing and document key findings.

  • Manage software development and hosting vendors, including working on contracts and ensuring appropriate payments are made in a correct and timely fashion.

  • Drive the successful implementation of software enhancements efficiently and on time.

  • Support data distribution activities including account administration, data use agreement review, etc. (as needed)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Health Informatics, Health Data Science or Computer Science.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Highly detail oriented with demonstrated ability to simultaneously track, manage, and drive multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a cross-functional environment with all levels of the organization.
  • Innately motivated to consistently deliver high quality performance.
  • Proactive problem solver with ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a system administrator with experience working in a top tier cloud environment (e.g., Rackspace, AWS, Azure, DNANexus, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and developing electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and performing user acceptance testing within clinical research electronic data capture systems.
  • Experience in technical writing of specifications, user manuals, etc.
  • Proficiency with data manipulation using open source applications and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, R, C#, JavaScript or similar).
  • Proficiency with handling of big data
  • Experience working with low/no code database applications (e.g., QuickBase, Knack, etc.).
  • Project and contracts management experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of industry standard technologies to support Clinical Development needs (e.g., CTMS, EDC, eCOA, ePRO, eTMF, eDMS, LMS)
  • Experience with PRO software and Learning Management System (LMS) development is a plus.
  • Basic integration knowledge (APIs, SSO) is a plusSaaS admin experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and Familiarity with ICH GCP guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11 and GDPR Compliance is a plus
