Job description
CDW is hiring a hands-on, code-first AWS Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in IAM, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code. This is a true engineering role-focused on building secure, scalable cloud platforms through automation, not manual console work. You'll design and deliver production-grade AWS and hybrid solutions while partnering closely with security, risk, and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement AWS IAM architectures (roles, policies, guardrails, least-privilege access)
- Build reusable, automated IAM and infrastructure modules using Terraform and/or AWS CDK
- Engineer and operate Kubernetes platforms (AWS EKS, Rancher)
- Develop CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Harness) with testing, approvals, and drift detection
- Deliver cloud and hybrid infrastructure using fully code-driven approaches
- Support integrations between AWS and on-prem environments
- Partner with security and audit teams to ensure compliant, evidence-ready controls
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS IAM and cloud platform engineering
- Deep experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container platforms
- Proven expertise in Terraform (CDK a plus)
- Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, TypeScript, Go, or Bash)
- Background working in regulated, audit-driven environments
Nice to Have
- Policy-as-code and automated guardrails
- Hybrid identity integrations
- Experience with internal developer platforms or large-scale migrations
