System Administrator - Linux/Windows

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a company focused on delivering secure, mission-critical communications solutions for federal government programs. This position is on-site at Annapolis Junction, MD. The Systems Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise telephony and supporting infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 availability in a high-security environment. This role directly supports national security missions by ensuring reliable, high-quality voice communications for critical operations. Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator include:

• Manage and support enterprise telephony systems, including hardware, software, peripherals, and call applications such as WFO/WFM, CMS, and call recording platforms
• Install, configure, operate, monitor, and maintain enterprise infrastructure including Windows and Linux servers, IIS web servers, VMware environments, and telecom hardware
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telephony systems, server environments, network connectivity, and integrations with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP
• Perform system upgrades, migrations, patching, and preventive maintenance to maintain security, compliance, and high availability

• 7+ years of experience supporting telephony systems in a systems administrator or engineer role
• Experience with Avaya telephony platforms, call recording solutions, workforce optimization/workforce management (WFO/WFM), VMware ESXi and vCenter, Windows Server, and Linux Server environments
• Strong networking knowledge (IPv4/IPv6, ports, protocols), certificate management, and Active Directory / Group Policy administration
• Ability to support 24x7x365 systems, participate in a rotational on-call schedule, and work onsite daily
• Active Secret security clearance

• Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000 depending on experience
