Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on data science experience, from model ideation through production deployment
  • Deep expertise in Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning techniques
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS environments
  • Proven ability to handle large, complex, and messy datasets with a focus on data integrity and usability
  • Solid understanding of model scalability, monitoring, and performance optimization
  • Exceptional communication skills to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience within healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with claims data or similarly complex datasets
  • Working knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and governance standards
  • Hands-on experience implementing MLOps practices, including automation, deployment, and continuous monitoring

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative discipline
  • Track record of success developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade ML models
  • Prior experience building scalable data pipelines and ML systems within regulated environments

Other Requirements

  • Must be available for a hybrid schedule three days per week in the South San Francisco office
  • Will participate in an in-person, multi-stage interview process that includes a HackerRank technical assessment (SQL & Python) and a machine learning/AI design interview
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting with evolving priorities
