Job description

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions., As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be trusted to:

  • Independently perform development, installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Lead technical evaluations, estimate task durations, and help shape project plans
  • Review engineering designs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with mission needs
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI
  • Strong background in AWS architecture, including use of AWS SDKs and APIs
  • Proficiency with observability tools (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, etc.)
  • Experience building and managing infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring best practices
  • Java programming expertise for distributed, networked, and multi-threaded systems
  • Familiarity with microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience working in Agile development environments with modern source-control and collaboration tools
  • Working knowledge of security and compliance principles for cloud-based and distributed systems, * 14+ years of Software Engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related field
  • May substitute 4 additional years of SWE experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph required

Benefits & conditions

Target Salary Range: $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

In this role, you'll work as part of an integrated product development team building mission-critical capabilities that operate across large-scale compute clusters and modern AWS cloud environments. You'll play a key role throughout the full software lifecycle-designing, developing, optimizing, and sustaining advanced cyber systems that directly support national-level missions.
