This position will collaborate with a global engineering development team to develop and validate component designs and ensure electrical functions meet H-D performance, quality, and cost benchmarks. This role requires hands-on problem solving, design rigor, and strong organizational skills to drive successful development of a wide-range of electrical system components. Job Responsibilities
- Develop electrical component designs and test plans with global engineering partner and approve designs for production.
- Resolve technical issues by applying problem-solving techniques, collecting data, and facilitating cross-functional support from the Engineering and Test organizations.
- Support vehicle-level system integration activities, regulatory homologation events, pre-production vehicle builds, and vehicle launch builds.
- Decompose high-level requirements into system-level requirements across multiple motorcycle domains, which may include:
- Powertrain and engine control functions
- Lighting and electrical subsystem behaviors
- Ride mode management and vehicle configuration strategies
- Enhanced chassis control systems (ABS, traction, stability, braking)
- Rider interface, sensor integration, and other embedded functions
- Ensure that system requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned with program goals throughout the product lifecycle.
