Senior Research Scientist - Software Defined Radio

Peraton Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist to join our team supporting fully cleared research efforts for our Maryland customer. You will work on cutting-edge research and development projects in a collaborative and innovative team environment and will be instrumental in solving the most complex challenges in a broad range of initiatives in computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, and cyber operations and experimentation platforms. Your expertise and areas of interest may be applied on one or more programs, providing you numerous opportunities to learn and grow.

Within this position you will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping Software Defined Radio (SDR) solutions for wireless systems. You will work in teams to research concepts and develop cutting edge solutions to complex problems. You will also be required to communicate the results of research through customer presentations and publications.

This position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with BS/BA; 6 years with a MS/MA; 3 years with a Ph.D., * 3+ years of experience in developing SDR solutions

• Strong written and spoken communications/presentation skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of Open Air Interface (OAI) or srsLTE software stacks
• Experience with LTE standards.

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
