Job description
Accenture offers a full-time graduation internship of 5 to 9 months within our Visualization & Interaction Science team in Amsterdam, part of Strategy & Consulting. Whether you already have a thesis topic in mind or are still exploring, we are eager to shape one together that matches your interests and our clients' most pressing challenges.
Your role
As an intern in our Data & AI team, you will draw on expertise across data, analytics, AI, and human-centered design. Together, we will shape your internship around topics that push the boundaries of how organizations engage with data - moving beyond static reporting toward AI-enabled analytics and decision support.
We are particularly interested in exploring new strategies and techniques with you, such as:
· Defining data visualization and decision intelligence strategies
· Designing and prototyping interactive, AI-enabled insight interfaces
· Improving user adoption of BI and analytics products through human-centered design
· Establishing best practices for data storytelling and visual analytics
· Exploring conversational analytics, AI assistants, and augmented decision experiences
· Developing business cases for visualization, BI, and AI-enabled analytics solutions
The thesis possibilities are endless, and we look forward to brainstorming a topic with you that aligns with your academic interests and our clients' reinvention journeys.
Some examples of previous graduation projects within Data & AI include:
· Building an Explainable AI visualization tool to visualize counterfactuals - features that, when changed, alter the prediction outcome - to help users understand and trust Machine Learning models in a business context.
· Developing an interpretable visualization approach to analyze and communicate stylistic elements in news, enabling users to better distinguish real from fake news in a decision-making context.
A day in the life of a Visualization & Interaction Science intern
While we expect you to be independent and take initiative in shaping your daily activities, your time with us will typically include:
· Writing your thesis at our Amsterdam office, with access to Accenture's global resources and colleagues who are happy to discuss your topic and share their expertise.
· Gaining hands-on experience as a consultant by supporting client projects - working directly with clients in the Netherlands and occasionally abroad to advise them from a business, design, and technology perspective.
· Expanding your network and knowledge by attending team meetings, events, mentor sessions, trainings, guest lectures, and one-on-one coffee chats with colleagues across our global network of data, AI, and design experts.
