Job description

The Design and Transition (Wintel/Workplace) team provide technical consultants to projects engaged with multiple customers internationally. We are primarily responsible for delivering technical solutions to our customers within the Wintel and Digital Workplace service portfolios. Our responsibility includes taking the solutions provided by architects through the design and implementation phases before ensuring a smooth hand over of support to the relevant Operations teams. Our engagements can range from full greenfield deployments through to providing ad-hoc consultant assistance with service changes. We participate in portfolio development through presales and ongoing solution reviews.

What to expect:

  • Deliver pre and post sales consultancy across the Getronics service portfolio internationally
  • Successfully deliver Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Cloud based projects by providing the needed implementation, operational change and request handling/validation, there will also be occasional design and technical project co-ordination activities
  • Projects include Implementing, configuring, and updating components of the Windows Portfolio which include Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory Domain Services, DNS and DHCP
  • There may also be a requirement to assist with the daily operations
  • Contributing to customer Proposals including providing details on the roadmap for the Getronics portfolio
  • Interaction with IT infrastructure managers, IT directors and architects

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years consultancy experience, or relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in Project Delivery with Microsoft technologies and ideally within a private/public Cloud environment
  • Extensive exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of proposal generation and service guides
  • Customer focused with a commercial acumen and proactive attitude
  • Consultancy experience within service provider and cloud computing environments.
  • Ability to work with different customers simultaneously with a remote team.

Required Technical Skills:

  • A desire to explore and implement other Microsoft technology as a means to further develop the company portfolio
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 - 2025
  • Microsoft technologies and services: ADDS, DNS, DHCP, GPO's, Failover clustering, DFSN/R
  • Security Standards / Security Baselines
  • Anti-virus/Malware protection technologies

Desirable Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft RDS
  • Scripting - PowerShell
  • Certificate management
  • VMware (Application virtualization, Desktop virtualization, etc)
  • Microsoft Entra ID (authentication services including PIM/CA/SSPR)
  • Customer Migrations experience
