Job description

CVS Health is looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Software Development Engineer to help lead the creation of best-in-class digital delivery within Platform Enablement. In this role, you will be technically assisting the BMES team of engineers to drive and execute the delivery automation of our CVS Health Enterprise Engineering. The platform is focused on providing a seamless customer experience, identifying, and analyzing system design weaknesses, along with troubleshooting complex technical issues. In addition, this role will assist the team technically around automation of incidents, End to end CI/CD pipelines, Application coding, which will provide site reliability services while supporting operations and CI/CD of the platform. You will use your people management skills to support, manage and mentor other engineers with deep and varying technical backgrounds and experience. delivery and excellent software engineering, and people management skills. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated, collaborative individual; motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment., * Ideal candidate should have 5+ years of IS/IT experience.

  • 4+ years of experience with multiple components of information technology infrastructure, including multiple operating systems, distributed systems, Web-centric architectures, various hardware components (servers, disk and tape subsystems), network infrastructure components, systems management tools and database management systems
  • 4+ years of operational experience across the following: UNIX, Windows, Oracle, Networking or Middleware.
  • 4+ years of project management experience, including large scale open systems and distributed implementations.
  • 4+ years experience with one or more methodologies such as Agile.
  • 2+ years of technical experience with emerging cloud platform technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
  • 2+ years of technical experience with F5 technologies and working knowledge of TCP,UDP, LTM, and GTM, * Strong problem solving skills: innovation, collaboration, risk/benefit analysis
  • Experience managing network firewall rules
  • Experience trouble shooting layer 2 and layer 3 networking devices
  • Understands and follows the CVS Enterprise Methodology.
  • Works in collaboration with Application, Development, Operations and other functional disciplines/teams.
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Benefits & conditions

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
