Job description
The Sr. Software Engineer performs analysis of user requirements, system design, development, testing, and implementation of bug-fixes, service requests, and projects. This role provides application maintenance and support while diagnosing and troubleshooting daily operations, programs, and system problems. The Sr. Software Engineer performs the functions of a Team Leader on specific projects, leading team members to provide quality deliverables on time. This includes coordination with other IT groups, provides client support and "on call" support to operational staff for error resolution and recovery. Additionally, this role makes recommendations to improve HAEA operations., * Client Partnership & Quality Assurance: Serve as liaison between IT and clients, gather business requirements, make recommendations for system enhancements, and act as final QA decision maker for new projects and service requests while maintaining client satisfaction and SLA commitments.
- Production Support & Team Leadership: Lead team members in providing timely bug-fixes and daily support (including 24/7 when required), conduct code reviews, coordinate with other IT groups, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code through training and documentation.
- Factory Ordering & SAP Operations: Lead primary factory ordering and allocation operations involving SAP vehicle purchasing, factory production ordering, and system allocation integration between facilities; resolve daily operational issues and new enhancement requests.
- Project Management & Delivery: Prepare funding documentation, hire and train contractors, enforce HISNA PMO methodologies to prevent scope creep, and communicate project statuses to management while ensuring deliverables are on time and within budget.
- Business Operations & Support: Provide business insights and technical recommendations to resolve urgent requests from Sales, support month-end closes, follow change control and security policies, and maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of system design/programming experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation, data modeling, database design, and system design/architecture skills.
- Knowledge of SDLC and project management methodology.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP CO, and SAP ABAP
- Proven track record of leading technical teams
- Experience with manufacturing or supply chain systems
- Certification in project management methodologies
