Job description
You will lead complex FSD application and site-level migrations during the integration of purification and filtration businesses into the Thermo Fisher Scientific IT ecosystem, ensuring seamless transitions and business continuity.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage the application migration kanban, coordinating complex FSD integrations across multiple workstreams
- Apply Agile methodologies and frameworks to drive project execution, scope management, schedules, budgets, and resources
- Leverage deep IT landscape knowledge to design and implement scalable migration strategies and support models
- Foster continuous improvement and innovation by applying PPI principles throughout migration activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver strategic technology solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships across organizational levels to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases
- Develop repeatable models that drive business continuity, process efficiency, and sustainable application support
Requirements
- Advanced degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of IT project management experience, including large-scale enterprise implementations
- Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or preferred
- Agile/Scrum certifications (SAFe, CSM, etc.) preferred
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall
- Experience with project/portfolio management tools (MS Project, Planview, Jira, etc.)
- Demonstrated success managing complex technical projects in regulated environments (GxP, SOX, HIPAA, etc.)
- Excellent financial acumen and budget management capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to guide and collaborate across multiple teams and organizational levels
- Experience managing distributed teams and external vendors
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and project management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
- Experience with enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, LIMS preferred
- Travel may be required up to 20%
- Life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in project delivery within scope, timeline and budget constraints
- Excellent risk management and issue resolution skills
Benefits & conditions
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $113,500.00-$150,000.00.
