Kavaliro is seeking an IT Support Engineer who can take ownership of our client's Windows endpoint environment and help keep everything running securely and smoothly. This role is centered around Microsoft technologies particularly Intune, Azure, and identity platforms and plays a big part in maintaining a strong security and compliance posture across the organization. You'll be working across both cloud and on-prem environments, supporting identity services, endpoint security, and access controls. This person will also act as a go-to escalation resource for more complex support issues and partner closely with IT and Security teams to improve systems and processes over time. This position is based onsite in our client's Jacksonville office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. What You'll Do
- Support and manage Windows 10/11 devices across the organization, from deployment through ongoing maintenance
- Use Microsoft Intune to handle device configuration, updates, policies, and compliance
- Work within Azure to support identity, endpoint management, and security-related services
- Maintain both Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID), including user access, syncing, and account lifecycle management
- Assist with ongoing security efforts, especially around endpoint protection and identity/access management
- Help manage network access control tools like Portnox or similar platforms
- Configure and support Azure security features such as Conditional Access, Defender, and compliance policies
- Troubleshoot basic network issues (connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
- Step in as an escalation point for more complex IT support issues and help drive them to resolution
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify ways to improve performance, security, and overall efficiency
- Keep documentation up to date, including processes, systems, and best practices
Requirements
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, or comparable hands-on experience
- Around 5+ years of experience in IT, ideally in a more advanced or senior support role
- Strong experience working in Windows-based enterprise environments
- Practical experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
- Good working knowledge of Azure, especially around identity and security
- Experience managing both on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID)
- Understanding of core security concepts, including modern approaches like Zero Trust
- Familiarity with NAC tools such as Portnox (or similar solutions)
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to support end users effectively
- Comfortable working independently and communicating with different teams
- Experience using PowerShell for scripting or automation
Nice to Have
- Microsoft certifications related to Azure, endpoint management, or security
- Networking certifications like CCNA
- Experience working on security or compliance-focused projects
- Exposure to supporting teams across multiple locations or time zones
- More advanced scripting or automation experience
