Job description
What you'll do... We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in UI development, including foundational technologies and patterns used in order management systems (OMS). This platform is a multi-tenant framework that is the single source of truth for all purchase order (PO) data in Mexico, Canada, and other Walmart International countries.
What you'll do:
- Build and enhance reusable UI components in React with modular CSS
- Manage client-side state using Redux, React Query
- Develop and integrate backend APIs using Node.js and GraphQL, including federated schemas
- Own feature development end-to-end, from technical design through CI/CD deployment
- Collaborate with product, design, and UX teams to deliver customer-first experiences
- Drive performance optimizations and architectural improvements
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence
- Work in an agile, iterative development process alongside globally distributed teams.
- Implementation of Test coverage and Ensure test coverage aligns with the standards outlined in the SPA guidelines.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of professional experience as a hands-on Frontend Developer
- Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, frameworks such as React, Node and working with React Router and Redux.
- Expertise in API integration and development, REST APIs, Node.js.
- Proficiency in building tools like Webpack.
- Deep understanding of Module Federation / Micro Frontend architectures, As our product plans to build a platform for data-based products.
- Expertise is UI automation frameworks like Jest.
- Coding standards and guidelines; Coding languages (E.g. TypeScript, JavaScript etc.), frameworks (E.g. React, Selenium, etc.), Platforms (E.g. Microsoft Azure etc.); Quality, Safety and Security standards; Emerging tools and technologies; Telemetry; CI / CD; Code Management Tools; SDLC; Secure SDL frameworks and tools.
- Basic/intermediate understanding in Object oriented programming languages like Java
- Understanding how AI chatbots work, MCP works is a plus.
- Must demonstrate their familiarity with Copilot/Cursor/Windsurf etc for Frontend development which will help them build UIs very fast. This needs deep understanding of React design patterns, System design skills etc., Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
