- Develop, maintain, and enhance NTCSS/OOMA desktop client applications.
- Collaborate with project leads and management to provide timely updates on project status.
- Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Promote and adhere to software testing best practices.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, development, and support teams to ensure understanding and implementation of change requests.
- Perform System Integration Test (SIT) and Development Integration Test (DIT) for application changes.
Requirements
We are seeking a skilled and motivated NTCSS Software Engineer to join our Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) team at Norfolk VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with expertise in C++, Java, and experience working with NTCSS/OOMA desktop client applications. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, collaboration skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions., * Knowledge of software development best practices
- Skilled in Agile development frameworks
- Experience with RDBMS such as Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Proficient in C/C++, Java, SQL, Bash, Maven, and Make
- Experience developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat
- Experience testing and debugging code
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps concepts including continuous delivery, deployment, integration, release process, versioning, configuration management, and build process
- Experience with test frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with members of a software development or systems engineering team
- Knowledgeable with Micro Focus ALM and UFT, including shared object repositories, function libraries, and creating reusable actions Software Engineer (C++, Java)
- Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database management systems
- Familiarity with JIRA is a plus, * US Citizen.
- Possess or ability to obtain IAT Level 2 within 6 months of hire (Security+).
- Active Secret Clearance.
- At least 3 years' experience with software development for software applications Software Engineer (C++, Java)
- Must have 5 years professional experience solving technical problems. Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance and has a broad range of knowledge and experience in application of software development. Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts. Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards. Experience includes validating system to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely
- Experience in fields associated with DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration system for aviation, afloat or shore activities

The proposed salary range for this position is: $78,000 - $163,800
