Responsible for advanced technical work supporting complex enterprise technology systems related to Active Directory, server administration, file shares, and printer management. This role supports enterprise infrastructure operations and provides technical expertise for identity management, server administration, printer administration, and operational support. This position functions as the technical point of contact for infrastructure server administration, Active Directory, and printer administration. Responsibilities include supporting IT staff and business operations across facilities, remote sites, data centers, and disaster recovery locations. Position Purpose The selected individual must understand enterprise IT policies, procedures, and initiatives while ensuring compliance with established standards. The role involves assisting users and IT groups with troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors when required, and executing assigned technical duties according to established timelines. Key Responsibilities Active Directory & Identity Administration
- Design and support enterprise Active Directory solutions.
- Establish provisioning standards, naming conventions, Group Policy deployment, domain controller operations, and maintenance.
- Serve as a point of contact for identity provisioning, directory services, and security-related account administration.
- Create and manage user accounts, resource accounts, service accounts, distribution lists, training accounts, and security groups.
- Approve or deny privileged account access requests.
- Troubleshoot account-related issues.
- Configure user accounts and permissions.
- Support user transfers, group memberships, password resets, account suspension, and reactivation.
- Manage account lifecycle activities for various user groups.
File Share & Server Administration
- Design and implement standards for infrastructure server operational roles.
- Support file share and print share server administration.
- Establish access control, auditing, and server security standards.
- Add or remove user permissions to shared directories and resources.
- Troubleshoot mapped drive and file access issues.
- Manage storage capacity and server drive space.
- Unlock files and coordinate data restoration requests.
- Create, update, migrate, and maintain shared drives.
- Perform data recovery using backup tools and shadow copy methods.
- Ensure proper server configuration and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate data migration between file and print servers.
Printer Administration
- Establish standards for printer administration and auditing.
- Troubleshoot printer issues with users and vendor representatives.
- Configure and support network printers.
- Assist with installation and setup of printers at various locations.
- Deploy firmware updates and patches.
- Install and maintain printer management software.
- Maintain updated printer drivers.
- Develop printer installation procedures.
- Support inventory tracking of enterprise printers.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies to resolve operational issues.
- Support special technical projects.
- Follow established service management and knowledge management processes.
- Adhere to digital accessibility regulations and standards.
- Provide after-hours technical support when required.
- Perform additional duties related to continuity planning and emergency response.
Decision Making Work is assigned with broad objectives and operational responsibilities. The role requires independent judgment, initiative, and troubleshooting skills. - Work Setup: In-office daily initially, progressing to hybrid schedule with two onsite days per week.
