Job description

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand organizational challenges, translate data into meaningful insights, and deliver scalable data-driven solutions. The Senior Data Scientist will lead end-to-end data science initiatives-from data collection and model development to deployment and performance monitoring., * Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced statistical and machine learning models

  • Translate complex data into actionable insights to support business strategy and decision-making
  • Manage data science projects from conception through deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop data-driven solutions
  • Build and optimize predictive models to solve complex problems and forecast future outcomes
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and implement data platforms for analysis, experimentation, and scalability
  • Assess and improve data quality, data sources, and data collection methodologies
  • Develop algorithms and analytical tools to extract insights from structured and unstructured data
  • Present findings through clear visualizations and storytelling techniques for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data science methodologies and technologies
  • Ensure data standardization, governance, and best practices across projects
  • Stay current with emerging trends in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence

Requirements

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and big data technologies, along with the ability to solve complex problems and predict future trends., * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience in fields such as economics, engineering, or physics)

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • 6-8 years of experience leading and executing data science projects, preferably in areas such as risk modeling, real-time analytics, performance optimization, or quality assessment
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C++, MATLAB, or similar
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL or Hadoop-based database technologies
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and/or image processing techniques
  • Experience working with Microsoft tools, including SharePoint
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience working across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments, including containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS)
  • Experience with data science platforms such as RStudio, Spark, or similar tools
  • Strong documentation and project management skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required at contract start, * Specialized expertise in text analytics, image recognition, graph analytics, or deep learning
  • Experience solving complex problems in computer vision or natural language processing domains
  • Prior experience supporting the Department of War (DoW) or Department of the Navy (DoN)
  • Familiarity with federal law enforcement (LE) systems or prior experience in LE environments
