Job description
The Design Engineer III is a pivotal contributor to vehicle and product system design and development, leveraging advanced CAD modeling and finite element analysis to optimize mechanical systems and metal structures. This role is instrumental in driving innovation, ensuring robust engineering solutions, and supporting both manufacturing and customer needs. The engineer is expected to operate within a collaborative, team-based environment, producing high-quality technical documentation, detailed drawings, and effective test procedures., Design and develop vehicle and product systems, ensuring optimal integration and performance

Conduct system physics modeling and characterization to inform design decisions

Develop and package CAD system and component concepts

Apply linear-static finite element analysis for design optimization

Generate technical drawings and detailed documentation adhering to ASME Y14.5 standards

Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports

Lead test design, development, validation, and reporting (DVP&R)

Engineer and analyze metal structures, sheet metal, and full vehicle systems

Support project needs and resolve technical challenges using mechanical, CAE, and project management abilities

Create technical specifications and develop testing procedures

Interface with manufacturing to address questions and manage engineering change requests (ECRs)
