Insight Analyst

You will support a range of initiatives and frameworks including institutional preparation for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), quality assurance processes, portfolio reviews, and horizon scanning. Specifically, the role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining a range of business intelligence reports for both strategic and operational purposes
• Producing analytical studies, reports, and papers - including insights and recommendations - for senior decision makers
• Benchmarking the University's performance against its peers and competitors

You will be part of a small Analytics and Insights team, within the wider Department of Planning, Performance and Strategic Change, and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and colleagues from across the university including other analysts, BI developers and data engineers.

We are seeking a critical thinker with a curious mind and an ability to derive insights from complex datasets. The ability to analyse, interpret and present complex information in a clear and succinct manner will be essential for this role. Experience of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau will also be essential. The ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification a relevant subject such as business analytics or data science and will have experience of working in the Higher Education sector.
