- Design, develop, test, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring robust functionality and reliability.
- Analyze and translate system requirements into detailed software specifications and designs.
- Implement, test, and debug software solutions to meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance software quality and development practices.
- Document software designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes for future reference.
Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python or other computer languages.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and practices.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies.
- Experience with software testing and debugging tools.
- Experience using version control tools like Git., * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Linux and/or real-time embedded systems such vxWorks or Integrity.
- Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performance
- Familiarity with gRPC and Protobufs
- Familiarity with Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
- Active U.S. government security clearance (if required for the role).
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
