The Agile Product Owner Senior is responsible for acting as a member of the Agile leadership team. The Agile Product Owner Senior will serve as the functional and/or client (or business) representative regarding the development of new and enhancement of existing products in both new and existing markets in support of the Complex Clinical Audit business unit, as part of Payment Integrity. Paying claims accurately is a critical part of what we do at Carelon and Elevance Health as we look to improve the cost and experience across the healthcare continuum.
How you will make an impact:

Serve as the customer proxy and liaison between the business and the Scrum Teams, translating features into complex user stories within a team's backlog, managing, ranking, and prioritizing this backlog so that it reflects stakeholder requirements and priorities.

Final testing and acceptance of the user stories supporting the features.

Effectively communicate stakeholder needs to the team to meet both contractual requirements and established acceptance criteria, including expected quality and performance, and complete various work management activities according to defined service level commitments and process compliance guidelines.

Collaborate with team(s) to discover and deliver the best solution to the market problem(s) presented by the Product Manager (business).

Work with the business to understand, coordinate ranking, and prioritize business needs and plan solutions to ensure that each release provides business value to end users, sales, and marketing.

Manage the solution concept development process to ensure the product team understands the direction and vision.

Create and maintain a regular backlog of work through the project's life cycle.

Understand how to write user stories and their acceptance criteria.

Translate the product backlog into user stories.

Serve as the Product Management (business) proxy and decision point to represent the stakeholders in the project.

Review and accept/reject results both during a Sprint and in the Sprint review.

Attend sprint meetings and is available to the team during the sprint for clarifications and acceptance of user stories.

Create and/or input into a project's release plan.

Present work to the team from Team Backlog during Sprint Planning for acceptance by the Team, Sprint negotiates, and Sprint goals.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years' experience with writing business/functional requirements and experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

Leading SAFe (SA) certification, CSPO or equivalent (Certified Scrum Product Owner) and/or SPO/PM (SAFE Product Owner/Product Manager) strongly preferred.

Payment Integrity experience strongly preferred.

Experience with Aha and Jira strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience in developing new products by identifying innovative solutions and successfully addressing client and business needs or challenges strongly preferred.

Microsoft Office suite of products including PowerPoint.
