Job description
"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a motivated IT Security Specialist to support and enhance organizational cybersecurity efforts. Under general direction, this role will evaluate the effectiveness of internal data controls, business and technical processes, and overall system performance to ensure the integrity and security of IT systems and data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security operations and a strong interest in staying current with the evolving threat landscape., * Perform security and integrity assessments of IT systems and organizational data
- Evaluate internal controls, technical processes, and system performance
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents
- Troubleshoot technical issues and document findings, solutions, and procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders via email, chat, and virtual meetings
- Support continuous improvement of security processes and controls
Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:

SOC (Security Operations Center) Analysis

Threat Hunting
-
Detection Engineering
-
Network Security Engineering
-
Minimum 2+ years of experience in technical troubleshooting, including documentation of processes and resolutions

Experience working in client-facing environments, including virtual communication and screen sharing

Strong understanding of at least three (3) of the following security domains:

Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

Cloud Security and Hosted Applications
-
Containerization Security
-
Application Security
-
Network Security and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTNA)

Endpoint Security and OS Hardening

Security Automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash)

Malware Analysis and Digital Forensics

Incident Response and Remediation
-
Penetration Testing
-
Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)

Vulnerability Management
-
Data Protection
-
Strong willingness to learn and stay current with cybersecurity trends and threats, * Relevant certifications such as CRISC (ISACA) or SSCP (ISC2)

Experience with SOAR platforms and automation tools

Exposure to AI/ML tools for automation, reporting, or research

Familiarity with security frameworks such as:

NIST CSF 2.0

NIST 800-207 (Zero Trust)

NIST 800-53

Knowledge of:

MITRE ATT&CK Framework

OWASP standards and web application security testing

Engagement with the broader cybersecurity community (forums, conferences, etc.)
