Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Employer: National Marrow Donor Program DBA NMDP located in Minneapolis, MN

Design and deliver successful Automation Testing as part of the NMDP Information Technology Quality Assurance team. As a key QA liaison, interact directly with IT and customers while performing duties and communicate known risks, or compliance issues discovered within software.

Specific duties include:

• Plan, design and develop an Automation Framework for facilitating manual regression tests.

• Mentor project teams on automation and performance testing, provide work direction and execution of Automation test activities, and provide related reporting.

• Collaborate with development teams on product design and testability.

• Analyze complex applications to design, build and implement test scripts that ensure the testability, robustness, and performance of production software.

• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize Regression Review and analyze the automation implementation to identify the possibility of reoccurrence of program operating problems to ensure operational efficiency.

• Analyze complex applications to design, build, organize and maintain test scripts at the right application layer.

• Design various test types (Functional, Smoke, Regression) for automation and maintain the Automation Framework (core library design and files).

• Write various types of test scripts including but not limited to web services, messaging, database validation, file handling and XML parsing.

• Track and report on automation testing results.

• Identify and report on problems, risks, issues and barriers within testing processes.

• Develop utility programs as needed to create new or modify existing procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, Math, or related technical field which required programming, or equivalent.

Must also have five years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in quality assurance including:

• Worked on a product that was actually released for public consumption and benchmarking, performance analysis and measurement.

• Agile development experience.

• Conducted thorough requirements analysis, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure clarity and completeness.

• Architected and developed advanced automation frameworks tailored for Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud applications.

• Engaged in comprehensive integration, performance, and security validation to ensure system robustness.

• Designed, developed, and maintained high-quality automated validation scripts to ensure application performance and reliability.

• Engineered CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment of automation scripts, leveraging Docker containers and Selenium Grid for execution.

Minimum Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, Math, or related technical field which required programming, or equivalent.
