Job description
As a Senior Data Scientist you will take ownership of transforming property images into structured, actionable inspection outputs. You will serve as a key technical SME embedded with the DigsFact internal team, with direct visibility and accountability for advancing this capability, as well as ensure alignment with our broader roadmap and to help prioritize and sequence future inspection automation initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the development of end-to-end computer vision pipelines, from image ingestion to structured output generation
- Shape and define a scalable "world model" that powers multiple downstream products and use cases
- Work closely with domain experts to translate real-world inspection knowledge into model requirements and training data
- Evaluate and integrate external tools, vendors, and partners to accelerate development while maintaining architectural integrity
- Ensure that all computer vision efforts align with and contribute to a broader, monetizable AI platform strategy, * Proven experience developing, deploying, and maintaining computer vision models in production environments specific to property images
Requirements
- Strong understanding of modern computer vision approaches, including foundation models, vision transformers, multimodal systems, and efficient fine-tuning techniques
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable, modular, and production-ready pipelines that integrate into larger systems
- Proficiency in working across the full ML lifecycle, from data collection and labeling to model deployment and monitoring
- Ability to collaborate closely with non-technical stakeholders and extract domain knowledge to inform model development
- Experience evaluating and integrating third-party tools or vendors, with a focus on balancing speed, quality, and long-term architectural sustainability
- Self-directed and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, including setting priorities within a strategic framework
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and progress to leadership
