Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent training
- 1-2 years of experience with theme and plugins development for Content Management Systems like WordPress and Drupal.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience programming in PHP/WordPress
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Excited about creating well-designed products for education
- Passion for learning new skills and technologies
- Demonstrated record of turning ideas into working software
- Ability to decompose complex problems and solve them iteratively
- Willingness and ability to listen effectively, respect others' perspectives and contributions, and offer and accept constructive feedback
- Proficient in Office 365 and willingness to learn online tools & utilities (e.g. Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, etc.)
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
- Web proficiency, including basic understanding of HTTP request/response cycle
- Ability to clear required background check, * Experience in both front and back-end development for WordPress
- Experience with front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Experience with server-side programming rnlanguages specifically PHP, and interfacing with multiple backend APIs and Microservices
- Well versed with data caching and MySQL as it relates to WordPress
- Understanding of web design principles and user experience best practices
- Experience with website analytics and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS
- Knowledge of front-end development tools such as Webpack, Parcel, Babel, Gulp, and Grunt
- Understanding of responsive web design, accessibility, and SEO best practices
- Experience with Git version control system
