Job description

This position is part of the Content Strategy team within Norstella Content Operations.The Content Strategy team are a cross-functional team of subject-matter experts that work with product, technology, services, and commercial teams to guide how the business uses content to create value for clients. They focus on high-impact, transformational projects across new product development, process engineering, commercial enablement, AI/tech-enabled services and more. The Principal Specialist role will play a lead role in determining this strategic direction, leading transformational projects to address key business priorities, focusing on:

  • Optimization - Champion operational efficiency in the capture, processing and delivery of data to service different needs across the business

  • Utilization - Maximize data utility and unlock opportunities to leverage Norstella data across the business to deliver value (e.g., new product development, commercial enablement)

  • Thought Partnership - Spearhead data strategy and client engagement within clinical trials and site data, patient engagement and recruitment among other areas

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an influential Content SME and thought partner on the value and evolution of clinical and commercial data to inform strategic decision making for senior leadership

  • Own cross-functional stakeholder relationships and client engagements, driving collaboration with business owners in Product, Services, Technology and Data Science etc.

  • Ownership of the articulation / positioning and scalable implementation of how our data resolves up to value to clients

  • Report to executive leadership team on priorities, progress, risks and implications of strategic initiatives

  • Ownership of end-to-end enhancement of clinical and other datasets, ensuring that Nostella is capturing the best data, at speed, while maintaining best-in-class quality

  • Spearhead identification of whitespace, structural gaps and opportunities for new enhancements and impactful solutions in Norstella's data suite, including clinical datasets

  • Ownership of new content solutions, including defining requirements, building out new data sets, implementing best-practice testing & validation strategies, and post-delivery hypercare

  • Stewardship for how AI can be deployed in the creation and utilization of clinical + commercial data across the business; ownership of prioritization and delivery AI-based initiatives within Content and in collaboration with other BUs

  • Responsible for strategic alignment of the following Transformation streams within Content Ops:

  • Data strategy (e.g., content optimization, data governance, reconciliation of data across disparate datasets, AI enablement)

  • Operational (e.g., institutionalization of technological change, setting best practices for Content Ops, aligning operational excellence with commercial needs of Norstella)

  • Organizational (e.g., defining target operating model & upstream institutional structure, aligning talent utilization with commercial needs of Norstella)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferentially in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, or equivalent field

  • 10+ years' experience preferably in a biopharma intelligence, business research, life sciences consulting domain

  • Experience of working with Clinical trials and site data, patient engagement and recruitment

  • Deep understanding of how life science data is published, captured and processed to translate real-world events into structured content

  • Strong understanding of drug development lifecycle and processes

  • Highly proficient in building and executing business cases for strategic initiatives

  • Excellent stakeholder management, managerial and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint, Monday.com, LucidChart, Jira, Confluence

  • Impeccable or native English verbal and written communication

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $170,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
