Job description
We are looking for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Confluence to assist in the operation and maintenance of the Technical Exchange Network (TEN), established as part of WIPO's Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Interchange (AIII). AIII is a WIPO initiative that facilitates global dialogue on the technical and operational aspects of the intellectual property system in the context of artificial intelligence. AIII does not set policy or legal standards. Instead, it focuses on how technical systems and tools can effectively support creators, copyright owners, and innovators while also promoting the development of AI technology in a rapidly evolving environment.
The TEN is a global network of technical experts from the AI and IP ecosystems who have been assembled following an initial application period. The TEN has been tasked with the following strategic objectives:
- Prioritize identification of potential technical solutions to challenges and opportunities arising for the intellectual property system from the development and deployment of generative AI;
- Share and disseminate state-of-the-art approaches, methodologies and practices, including via the compilation of a repository of papers and other reports on technical elements of AI and IP infrastructure;
- Facilitate mutual learning and peer support among technical experts;
- Develop a common lexicon of relevant terminology to provide consistency across discussions;
- Foster cross-sectoral, inter-industry, and international cooperation on key technical challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and intellectual property.
The initial membership of the TEN comprises nearly 100 individuals and organizations from around the world. The TEN will undertake its work through quarterly online-meetings and via asynchronous collaboration on a members-only Confluence site.
- Main duties The contractor is expected to perform the following tasks, under the direction of the IP and Frontier Technologies team:
- Providing technical support for the AIII TEN Confluence workspace, including developing content and updating workspace as needed.
- Serving as initial point of contact for incoming technical questions and comments from TEN Members.
- Developing comprehensive records management system for TEN materials, via WIPO's internal Sharepoint.
- Coordinating the scheduling and other logistics of online meetings of the TEN, on a quarterly basis at a minimum.
- Onboarding new members of the TEN to Confluence as applications are reviewed and approved.
- Performing additional support tasks related to AIII and the TEN platform as required.
- Supervision and support The contractor will work under the supervision of the Senior IP Law and Policy Officer, under the overall direction of the Director of the IP and Frontier Technologies Division.
The contractor will also interact with colleagues within the Copyright Management Division, who are collaborating on the AIII project.
The contractor does not need to be based in Geneva but should be located in a compatible time zone and able to operate on Geneva working hours. Regular online meetings on MS Teams will allow for briefings, feedback, planning and general contact.

We require an experienced technical support professional with the following experience, skills and competences:
