We are excited to offer a dynamic and varied engineering role at Cornerstone Systems, a specialist control systems manufacturing company based in Stone, Staffordshire. As a member of our team, you will be involved in the complete lifecycle of our custom-built control systems - from design and manufacture to installation and servicing.
Our systems support industries such as agriculture, waste management, and energy, with installations across the UK. This role will require you to work both in our Stone office and at customer sites across the UK.
This role will entail a combination of working from our Stone office and at customer sites across the country. When working away from our Stone office location, hotel accommodation and subsistence is provided for you. This can range from 1 night to up to 4 nights in busy periods. This role provides a great opportunity to see many parts of the UK., * Design, manufacture, install, and service bespoke control systems for a range of industries
- Assist in the assembly and wiring of systems
- Support installations and maintenance both on-site and from the office
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Conduct repairs and diagnostics at both board and system levels
Requirements

- General electrical wiring and electronics knowledge
- Basic IT skills, including computer networking
- Experience with manufacturing processes and electronic component procurement
- Soldering experience (through-hole and surface-mount components)
- Familiarity with working at height
Qualifications & Personal Traits:
- GCSEs (Grade A-C) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Competency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow processes
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Flexible and willing to support the team as needed

Benefits & conditions
Position Details:
- Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week 9:00am - 5:00pm (3:00pm on Friday)
- Location: Based in our Stone office with travel to customer sites across the UK
- Contract: 12-month contract with potential for permanent position
- Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per year, based on experience
