Job description

The Treasury Automation Lead is responsible for driving the automation and transformation of the treasury function within a global FX and payments provider. The role focuses on defining business and functional requirements, selecting and implementing treasury technology solutions, and delivering scalable, well-controlled operating models. The position acts as a key liaison between Treasury, Technology, Operations, and other stakeholders to modernize capital, liquidity, and payments processes across the firm.   • Evaluate current treasury, FX, and risk management workflows to identify automation and efficiency opportunities
  • Define future-state operating models aligned with straight-through processing and scalability goals
  • Develop detailed business and functional requirements for treasury systems and related integrations
  • Drive standardization of treasury processes across entities, regions, and currencies

Software Selection & Implementation

  • Lead vendor evaluation, system selection, and implementation of treasury management systems, risk management and forecasting tools, and bank connectivity solutions
  • Partner with Technology to ensue integration with internal and vendor platforms
  • Oversee testing, user acceptance, and production rollout activities
  • Ensure systems meet operational, regulatory, and control objectives

Stakeholder Management

  • Lead the cross functional teams building out requirements and drive implementation
  • Work with others on the team to collaborate and share knowledge
  • Provide timely updates and reporting against metrics, outcomes and milestones

Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of the project from requirement discovery to launch
  • Apply an agile mindset and approach to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale technology transformation initiatives
  • Understanding of one or more treasury capability such as liquidity, capital, interest rate risk, FX, payments, stress testing
  • Knowledge of treasury management systems
  • Proven experience delivering outcomes in fast moving environments
  • Experience working with financial institution and/or treasury technology vendors

Please note: This position is full-time, permanent. The role is expected to be office-based in London as part of Treasury Team. However, we have an agile flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home if desired.
