Job description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting our organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those with a strong background in systems engineering, network management, and technical support to contribute to our ongoing technological advancements. - Oversee network security protocols, including firewall management, Cisco routers, LAN/WAN support, and network infrastructure optimisation
- Implement and maintain information security measures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organisational data
- Administer Active Directory, SharePoint, and remote access software to ensure seamless user access and collaboration
- Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds and manage network engineering tasks
- Provide technical support across desktop support services and manage system updates using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Supervise IT support teams and oversee project management activities using platforms like ServiceNow and Jira
- Conduct analysis of system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimise network engineering solutions
- Lead initiatives related to system upgrades, software development projects, and infrastructure enhancements
- Ensure compliance with ITIL standards while managing multiple concurrent projects with effective time management
Requirements
- Experience in server management, information security, network security, and disaster recovery planning
- Strong knowledge of computer networking including LAN/WAN configuration with Cisco routers and firewalls; familiarity with DHCP, IIS, SQL Server (including Microsoft SQL Server), SharePoint & remote access software
- Proven leadership skills with supervising experience in managing IT teams or projects; excellent organisational skills for prioritising tasks effectively
- Competent in project management methodologies using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow; analysis skills for evaluating system performance data
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders; strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Familiarity with software development processes; experience supporting WAN configurations; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
